The Coast Creative was formed when three Cornwall-based entrepreneurs and craftsmen merged their design and interiors businesses to create a company uniquely equipped to deliver spaces and products that enhance the way you live.
Luke, Nick and Dave believe that your home communicates who you are to those who enter it. It should be a synergy of design, craftsmanship and self-expression. It should facilitate the way you aspire to live and enable you to enjoy that life with your kindred spirits. They believe that you deserve a beautiful home that you can be proud of, and they love putting their skills and expertise to good use making that home a reality.
Our experience of Coast Creative has been exceptional. The designs, craftsmanship, and quality of the installations have been first-class. Dave, Nick and Luke’s, attention to detail, and personable approach has been excellent.

Kirk – Treyarnon View
I have just finished building a house in Trebetherick and am totally thrilled with the result. The bar area, which is central to the whole house, was designed, customised and made by Coast Creative and I was totally blown away by the level of design and craftsmanship.

Noordhoek is a luxury new property built in Porthcothan Bay, Cornwall. The owner approached us to create stylish storage solutions throughout the kitchen, pantry and bedrooms. Working with the client throughout the design process, we also supplied custom furniture. For Noordhoek we utilised a balance of oak, concrete and steel to compliment the architecture of this beach front home. We combined state of the art design and manufacturing techniques, before finishing it with meticulous attention to detail.”
A Victorian townhouse designed in collaboration with Sarah-Jane Cousens of Just A Little Build. Featuring riven oak door and drawer fronts, tall shaker glass fronted cabinets, Silestone counter tops and brass appointments.
At Treyarnon View on the coast of North Cornwall we updated the existing kitchen with new worktops, doors and fitted appliances. Matt at Dynargh Design planned the layouts and interiors throughout that informed our designs and material choices to ensure that the entire project was cohesive and met the client’s brief.
Every Coast Creative kitchen is completely unique, tailored to your exact requirements. Design Director Luke guides the process, asking questions and making suggestions until together you have crafted a concept that perfectly meets your needs, tastes and space. His goal is to discover how you want your home to work for you, and how you want it to look, and then to create a design that blends function and form to meet your brief. There is no “off the shelf” here at Coast Creative. Your kitchen starts with a blank piece of paper and some questions, and the final design will be a collaborative effort that is uniwue to you, and exactly what you want and need.
Design Director Luke has an MA in Design Thinking, and knows that the craftsmen in our workshop and our state-of-the-art 3-axis CNC machine can make and fabricate almost anything in timber, sheet material, and steel. It is this combination of creativity and forward-thinking design and manufacturing capability that makes Coast Creative unmatched in our field. Whether it is a unique kitchen island, overhead storage solutions or a modern pantry, Luke’s suggestions will be at the cutting edge of design, and designed to last.
There are no shortcuts to get to the top end of the bespoke fitted kitchen industry. You can’t fake quality or craftsmanship. Co-founder and Director Nick is traditionally trained as a boat-builder and cabinet-maker but with a future-focussed workshop that uses state-of-the-art computer controlled machinery to manufacture to absolute accuracy. He built his interior joinery business off a reputation for his high standards and meticulous attention to detail, and he sets the standards and bar for the team in our workshop, because nothing leaves the workshop without his approval.
There’s no better feeling than that of a job well done. Every project matters to us, and working to a standard and meeting deadlines is how we’ve built our businesses and the sort of reputation that wins us work through referrals and recommendations.
With the array of skiills and machinery available to us, we can make almost anything, from anything. But the materials that we suggest and source are carefully considered, not only to meet aesthetic and structural specification but also with sustainability in mind. All of our timber and sheet material is FSC certified, meaning that the Forest Stewardship Council UK confirms that the forest where the wood was sourced is managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and meets strict environmental, social and economic standards. We also often use modern carbon neutral sheet materials such as Richlite and Fenix.
At Coast Creative we design, make and install kitchens across a range of styles, but the “Scandi” style is one that we often return to with clients. Characterised by light and airy spaces, clean lines, and natural materials such as lighter toned wood, it is an aesthetic that suits many of the spacious coastal homes in which we work. There is obvious synchronicity between the classic Scandinavian “summer houses” and Cornish coastal homes, both in terms of the style and colour palette and also because of the desire to bring the outside in and reference the natural landscape outside the window in the interior deign choices. Larger properties with generous kitchens also tend to lend themselves to lighter colour palettes and more minimalist design choices.
From our first design meeting through to installation of your kitchen usually takes between 12-14 weeks, although every project is different and timings are determined by many factors. If your new kitchen is part of a bigger build or remodelling project, we will work with you or your project manager and other contractors to plan a timeline and agree the optimal installation dates for your kitchen.
Yes. Our specialism is unique designed and made to measure kitchens where every detail is considered, right down to features such as custom drawer inserts designed to hold coffee pods, metal overhead glass-hanging racks for that hotel bar look, or one-off metal drawer and door handles that we fabricate in-house. What we do at Coast Creative isn’t just made to measure, it’s made for you.
The materials and finishes suggested by Luke for your consideration can be sampled as part of the design process. Because we do not produce “off the peg” ranges with set or limited choices of materials and colours, the options available to us for your project are huge. Therefore we can provide samples during the design process once choices have been narrowed down.
We offer a standard staged payment process for Coast Creative kitchens. Following the intiial design call with Luke we will calculate a guide price for your consideration. As the project proceeds and the scope and materials are refined we will quote the project. Once the design and quote has been accepted we require a 50% deposit. The next 30% is due on delivery and the final 20% plus installation following completion.
Our service covers the entirety of the process from design through to installation by our team. We estimate and quote on the entire process so that you know where you stand with your budget.
We offer a 10 years manufacturers warranty in addition to the individual warranties on third party components. Subject to fair wear and tear and our terms and conditions. Certain exclusions apply.
We pride ourselves on our product and workmanship. We do a follow up call twelve months after installation as part of our post-project customer service. Should you have any issues with your kitchen or with any components of it then we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so that we can resolve the issue.
