For Chy Ryn we were tasked with designing, making and installing a walk-in wardrobe that feels much more spacious than the dimensions would suggest. Owners Rachel and Sam wanted it to have the feeling of a boutique shop, that created a surprise as the pocket-door is opened.

We combined hidden storage options with exposed hanging elements, and incorporated features such as the flush fitting mirror that is hinged to offer more storage behind. The peg-board has turned stainless steel pegs that push fit into nylon bushes that sit flush with and contrast against the linen-textured Xylo Cleaf finish that was used throughout. There is a thin line shelf above the pegboard that is shrouded steel work, giving the illusion of lightness but with incredible strength.

Custom minimalist hanging rails and a matching T-bar door handle were fabricated in-house, paired with Dowsing &Reynolds modernist drawer knobs.
