Imagined with striking maximalism in mind, the redesign of Broadagogue’s interior involved practical cabinetry, bold colours and show-stopping choices. Owners Maya and her family were aiming to elicit a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and when we asked Maya how the space made her feel now that it was finished, she responded, “We’re incredibly happy and we want to be there as much as possible!”

The stunning house is situated above Greenaway, between Polzeath Beach and Daymer Bay in Cornwall. Coast Creative were commissioned to build a striking home bar on the landing at the top of the stairs, plus several practical bathroom vanity units. Throughout the five bathrooms, each vanity unit was unique and bespoke to the space, and finished in the appropriate and eye-catching colour scheme.

Maya explained that the entire property now surpasses her expectations on many levels. Designed by Head Designer Luke and brought to life by the Coast Creative team, all the cabinetry built and installed was created to maximise space, utilising built-in storage through cupboards, drawers and open shelves. We also included hidden electrical elements such as plugs within drawers. 

The home bar built into the return on the upstairs landing has the wow-factor. “It was always our idea to create something pretty show stopping in the way of a bar. My interior designers came up with the colour and wall paper. The combination really works and we have had endless compliments, especially on the quality of the woodwork.”

Setting the tone for the rest of the room, the full-height, rich green cabinets of the home bar sit opposite a stunning estuary-view backdrop on the other side of the living area. The bold choice of colour is the most commented on feature of Broadagogue’s interior renovation, and the owners are very happy with the final balance of function to form.
